FGGC, Bwari, one of the 110 Unity Colleges in Nigeria was established in 1984 as a girls’ only, full boarding school. The college is located in Bwari Area Council, Abuja-FCT which is also home to the Nigerian Law School and the National Headquarters of Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
Bwari is about 30 minutes drive from the city centre.
In her 37 years existence, FGGC Bwari has been at the forefront of girl-child education in Northern Nigeria providing excellent academic and moral guidance to a wide range of girls from diverse ethnic and cultural background.
Our vision and mission as encapsulated in our goal statements have been our driving force over the years and will continue to be for many years to come.

Federal Government Girls’ College, Bwari-Abuja came into being on 15th January, 1984 to meet the demand for the girl-child education in FCT, the middle belt and the country at large. It was the 41st Unity College to be established in the country and the second in the Federal Capital Territory after Kwali. It is a boarding school which took off with 43 students, 8 teaching and 10 non teaching staff.
